Nottingham is home to Nottingham forest football club who have a great history and have had great legend such as Roy keane and Stuart Pearce and let's not forget Brian Clough one of the greatest managers that ever lived. Forest has had a great past as they have held the European cup twice as they were dominating throughout the 70s. The club since then has fallen as it was relegated from the premiership and coca cola championship in to league 1, where now they are hoping to get promoted and fight back for a chance at the big stage where they belong. They play their home games at the city ground.
Nottingham is also home to Nott's county football club who are the oldest club out of all the professional teams that play at the moment. The side currently play in the coca cola league 2. The magpies as they are known play at their home ground at meadow lane. Great managers have managed the side such as Neil Warnock and Sam Allardyce. Also the notts county black and white stripe shirts became the inspiration for the same strip of juventus.
Nottingham also has a great cricket stadium which is called Trent Bridge. As well as International cricket and Nottinghamshire's home games, the ground has hosted the Finals Day of the Twenty20 Cup twice. The ground is very famous in England as it is one of the best grounds in the country and many great matches have taken place here for e.g. the ashes series and great one day matches with the rest of the world. Trent Bridge is home to the Nottinghamshire county cricket club also known as the notts outlaws who are playing well as a team and have bought through great youth such as Bilial Shafayat and Nadeem Malik.
