If you are looking for a good night out, then Leicester has a great selection of bars and clubs to keep you occupied. Leicester has an intimate feel, yet enough variety in bars and clubbing to keep you returning over and over again. Situated close to Nottingham and Derby, Leicester is definitely worth a visit if you are looking to venture to pastures new. Midlands Limos has comprised a list of bars and clubs, offering you our recommended nightspots for Leicester nightlife;
-The Whites Victorian bar, is located on Humberstone Gate in the city centre. Recently refurbished to a decent standard the bar has ales, lagers, a wine list and serves pretty decent food as well.
-Walkabout bar is another busy and lively bar located in Leicester. If you are a regular visitor to Walkabout and it seems as if every city has one, then it is worth applying for their boomerang card. The card offer a heavy discount off of food and alcohol prices!
-The Firebug Bar, on Millstone Lane comes highly recommended. The bar has a relaxed dress code and vibe, which has helped the bar to attract a wide variety of clientèle. The bar offers a fantastic range of drinks and has a cocktail happy hour Sundays-Thursdays 6pm-9pm.
-Liquid & Envy is probably Leicester's most popular nightclub. Boasting two different rooms and resident DJs, the club plays a diverse range of music which includes cheesy pop tunes, dance anthems, through to the latest drum and bass.
-Forbidden at the Starlite club is ideal if you are into your hard house music. The club has been playing hard house all nighters for some time. The club likes to offer up and coming DJs the chance to showcase their skills and many have gone on to make a name for themselves. Definitely worth a visit!
-Zanzibar is a popular nightspot for stag parties, hen nights and birthday celebrations. Located on Gravel Street, the club has two rooms playing the usual mixture of pop and dance music and is open on a Friday and Saturday night 10pm-3am.
-For the metal heads, we recommend Mosh. The club plays alternative music for three nights of the week, entrance is just £2 before 11.30 and £5 thereafter. For a midweek night out the club plays pop hits, classic indie and dance anthems on a Tuesday, which is a popular night for students where an NUS card ensures reduced entrance fees.
- A hidden gem in Leicester is 'The Musician', located in the heart of Leicester. Several years ago the pub underwent some refurbishment and now comfortably caters for 220 people. The Musician has built its reputation on booking only the very best in home grown and international folk, blues, roots and Americana talent.
